Planting the new season's greens
A look at what's going into the ground this month and the crops you can expect in your baskets as the season turns.

A fresh start in the beds
Every new season begins the same way: with clean beds, good compost, and a tray of seedlings waiting to go in. This month we've turned over the eastern fields and started planting the leafy greens that thrive as the weather cools.
What's going in
Spinach, chard, and three kinds of lettuce are first into the ground, followed by the herbs that round out a basket — coriander, parsley, and dill. As they establish over the coming weeks, you'll start seeing them turn up in your deliveries.
We'll share more as the season unfolds. For now, the beds are full and the farm smells like fresh soil again.
